TONNERRE - COUNTY OF TONNERRE - CHARLES OF ANJOU

(1273-1285)

Charles I of Anjou, king of Sicily, married Marguerite of Burgundy in 1268. The latter inherited the county of Tonnerre in 1273. Charles then took the title of count of Tonnerre which he kept until his death in 1285.
