Commentary

Territoire sous protectorat allemande depuis 1884, une opération militaire franco-britannique obligea les allemands à capituler en août 1914.
En 1919, un mandat de la Société des Nations (SDN) partage le Togo en deux zones, la française (l’est appelé le «Togo français») et la britannique (l'ouest appelé le «British Togo»)..
