Commentary

Cette médaille de tir a été offerte par Abel Prouharam (1868-1952) Homme politique français, il fut conseiller général de Seine-et-Marne (canton de Coulommiers) de 1908 à 1940 et président du conseil général de Seine-et-Marne d'octobre 1921 à octobre 1923. Le 18 octobre 1923, alors qu'il est directeur des Affaires criminelles et des Grâces au ministère de la Justice, Abel Prouharam est nommé procureur de la République près le tribunal de première instance de la Seine par le président Alexandre Millerand. Il restera à ce poste jusqu'au 26 novembre 1928, date à laquelle il est nommé conseiller d'État en service ordinaire.
This shooting medal was offered by Abel Prouharam (1868-1952) French politician, he was general councilor of Seine-et-Marne (canton of Coulommiers) from 1908 to 1940 and president of the general council of Seine-et-Marne from October 1921 to October 1923. On October 18, 1923, while he was director of Criminal Affairs and Pardons at the Ministry of Justice, Abel Prouharam was appointed public prosecutor at the court of first instance of the Seine by President Alexandre Millerand.
