Exemplaire sur un flan large et irrégulier, parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Trace de double de frappe sur le portrait. Très beau revers. Patine marron foncé granuleuse

Obverse description : Buste consulaire diadémé avec pendilia consulaire de Tibère II Constantin de face, tenant la mappa de la main droite et le scipio de la gauche ; une croisette dans le champ à gauche.
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Tiberius Constantinus Perpetuus Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Tibère Constantin perpétuel auguste).

Trace de double frappe au droit. Cet exemplaire ne semble pas surfrappé sur un follis plus ancien comme c’est souvent le cas.

Justin lost his mind in 574 and General Tiberius ruled the empire from then on. He was associated with power and named august on September 26, 578 and succeeded Justin without problem on October 5, 578. The regnal years are counted since his accession as Caesar.
