Obverse description : Buste diadémé, casqué et cuirassé de Théodose II de face, tenant de la main droite la haste qui repose sur l'épaule et de la gauche, un bouclier orné d'un cavalier chargeant à droite (N’a).
Obverse translation : “Dominus Noster Theodosius Pius Felix Augustus”, (Notre seigneur Théodose pieux heureux auguste).


Reverse legend : GLOR ORVI-S TERRAR (THÊTA)/ *|-// CONOB.
Reverse description : L'empereur debout de face couronné et vêtu militairement, tenant de la main droite un étendard et de la gauche un globe crucigère.
Reverse translation : “Gloria Orbis Terrarum”, (Gloire sur la terre entière).


Revers historiquement important. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Cuirasse cloutée. Bouclier orné d’un cavalier orné terrassant un soldat à droite. Revers inhabituel. Labarum croiseté ouvert. Astre à huit rais dans le champ à gauche.

(10/01/402-28/07/450) Flavius Theodosius

Theodosius II, born in 401, was proclaimed in august 402-9 months. After the death of his father Arcadius in 408, the two embassies of Ravenna and Constantinople were cold.
