Aussi appelé “bullet money” ou “bullet coinage”, ces petites boules d’argent sont caractéristiques du monnayage de l’ancienne Thaïlande. Utilisé du Moyen Âge jusqu’au années 1920 on rencontre plusieurs dénominations caractérisés par des variations de taille et de poids des exemplaires. Le baht pèse 15 gramme, le demi 7,7 et le quart 3,85. Deux marques sont généralement apposées, elles permettent de déterminer le souverain émetteur. Il y a des variantes, en général trois, pour chaque règne, avec trois marques différentes.
