Commentary
Jérusalem tomba entre les mains des Croisés le 15 juillet 1099. Goedefroy de Bouillon fut nommé avoué et protecteur du Saint-Sépulcre. A sa mort en 1100, son frère Baudoin lui succède et prend le titre de roi (1100-1108). Sous le règne de Baudoin III eut lieu la seconde Croisade sous la direction de Louis, roi de France, et Conrad III de Hohenstaufen.
Jerusalem fell to the Crusaders on July 15, 1099. Godfrey of Bouillon was appointed advocate and protector of the Holy Sepulchre. Upon his death in 1100, his brother Baldwin succeeded him and took the title of king (1100-1108). During the reign of Baldwin III, the Second Crusade took place under the leadership of Louis, King of France, and Conrad III of Hohenstaufen.
