Exemplaire sur un flan ovale parfaitement centré des deux côtés. Très beau portrait de Tacite inhabituel. Frappe molle et faible au revers. Patine gris métallique avec des reflets rougeâtres. Conserve au droit son coupant d’origine

Reverse description : Lætitia (la Joie) drapée, debout à gauche, tenant une couronne de la main droite et un gouvernail de la main gauche, placé sur la proue d'une galère à droite.

Reverse translation : “Lætitia Fundata”, (La Joie retrouvée).

Commentary

Avec l’intégralité de son argenture superficielle. Rubans de type 3 aux extrémités bouletées. Ptéryges fines sous le paludamentum visible de chaque côté du buste. Trente quatre exemplaires sont recensés dans l’inventaire de S. Estiot et J. Mairat (RIC. temp. sur internet).
