Exemplaire sur un petit flan très épais, bien centré des deux côtés. Frappe molle au droit. Très joli revers de style fin bien venu à la frappe. Très jolie patine vert foncé

SYRIA - SELEUKID KINGDOM - SELEUKOS II KALLINIKOS
(246-226 BC)
Seleucus II, the eldest son of Antiochus II and Laodice, acceded to the throne the same year as Ptolemy III in 246 BC, coinciding with the start of the Third Syrian War. Peace between Lagides and Seleucids was signed that year. Seleucus II, beaten by his brother at Ancyra in 239 BC, began a campaign against the Parthians in 231, then died in 226 BC, victim of a fall from his horse after an insignificant reign of twenty years.
