Ce monnayage est pratiquement municipal. Seule la tête radiée permet de l’attribuer à Antiochus IV. La précision de Daphné au revers rappelle que le roi séleucide fit déposer une statue du dieu olympien dans le temple d’Apollon.

(175-164 BC)
Antiochus IV was the youngest son of Antiochus III. He had been sent to Rome as a hostage after the Peace of Apamea. He fought the Egyptians, ravaged the Temple of Jerusalem and won several victories over Ptolemy VI Philometor (180-145 BC).
