Reverse description : Apollon assis à gauche sur l'omphalos, appuyé de la main gauche sur son arc et tenant de la main droite une flèche ; deux monogrammes dans le champ à gauche ; à l’exergue, un cheval debout à droite.
Reverse legend : BASILEWS// ANTIOCOU// (MTO)/ (KA)/.

(241-227 BC)

Hierax Antiochus, the younger son of Antiochus II and Laodice, is the brother of Seleucus II. With the help of his mother, Antiochus succeeded in seizing Asia from 241 BC but in 238 he was defeated by Attalus I of Pergamum and finds himself in a defensive situation. Ten years later, he attacked the areas of his brother, but was defeated. He died the following year in a fight that pitted him against a group of looters Gallic.
