(87-82 BC)

Antiochus is the younger son of Antiochus VIII and Cleopatra Tryphaina. He is the brother of Seleucus VI, Antiochus XI, Demetrius III and Philip I. He succeeded his brother Demetrius III in Damascus. He had to fight against the Nabataeans. He opposed his brother Philip I, who temporarily seized Damascus. He died fighting the Nabataeans.
