La médaille est conservée dans une boîte cartonnée GEORGES HANTZ, graveur et ciseleur de la rue Necker à Genève.

Switzerland formed a Confederation in 1848. It adopted the Swiss Franc, aligned with the French Franc in 1850. It joined the Latin Union in December 1865. It remained neutral during the two world wars and later grew rich thanks to its banks.
