Ce type de thaler fut frappé de 1602 à 1624 puis de nouveau en 1656. Le bélier sortant d’un temple est aussi présent sur l’écu de la ville de Schaffhouse.

In 1454, the free imperial city of Schaffhausen allied itself with the Confederates. In 1501, it entered the Confederation (12th canton) and adopted the Reformation in 1529.
