Commentary


Ces cornados furent frappés dans plusieurs ateliers tels que Tolède, Burgos, Séville... Le monnayage de Sanche V en Castille et Léon est assez pauvre ; il se limite en effet à la frappe de doubles d'or, de cornados et de sizains de billon.

Sancho IV is the second son of Alphonse X of Castile called "the wise". He was crowned on April 30, 1284 in Toledo. On April 25, 1295, Sancho IV died in Toledo at the age of 36, leaving power to his son Ferdinand IV (1295-1312).
