Commentary
En 1785, une peste bovine ayant réduit le bétail de moitié, des vaches furent distribuées par décision royale. Dans la même année, un Comité d'agriculture est créé, composé entre autres de Lavoisier, Dupont de Nemours et la Rochefoucault-Liancourt.
In 1785, after cattle plague had reduced the number of cattle by half, cows were distributed by royal decree. In the same year, an Agricultural Committee was created, composed of Lavoisier, Dupont de Nemours and La Rochefoucault-Liancourt, among others.
