Obverse description : Femme à demi-nue se mirant dans un miroir porté par un angelot pour essayer un diadème ; derrière elle un ange présente un collier qu’il a pris dans la boîte à bijoux qui est à ses pieds.

Reverse

Reverse legend : ÉTABLIE EN 1702 RECONSTITUÉE EN SOCIÉTÉ ANONYME PAR ORDONNANCE ROYALE DU 17 FÉVRIER 1830.

Reverse description : Inscription en neuf lignes dans une couronne de deux branches d'olivier.

Commentary

On notera que le coin de revers ne présente pas le très léger bombé caractéristique de l’émission à Corne 2ARGENT.
Mieux, sur le coin de droit le fond est traité en sablé de telle sorte que le miroir, traité en ... miroir, tranche sur le champ. Bien entendu, l’entreprise a un site internet où elle présente son histoire http://www.saint-gobain.com .
On y apprend que c’est en 1858 qu’une fusion avec le grand rival national, Saint-Quirin, donne naissance à la Manufacture des Glaces et produits chimiques de Saint-Gobain, Chauny et Cirey.
