Septième pièce de 2 Euro commémorative circulante de la Slovénie. Pièce de 2 Euro commémorant le 800ème anniversaire de la première visite de la grotte de Postojna.
Principale attraction touristique du pays, la plus ancienne inscription retrouvée sur les parois de la grotte de Postojna (50 km au sud-est de la capitale Ljubljana) date de 1213.
La spirale représentée sur l’avers symbolise la longueur et l'ancienneté de la grotte ainsi que le chemin qui a conduit les visiteurs à travers la grotte depuis 800 ans
