Historical background

(289-287 BC)

We have little information on the Fourth Republic (289-287 BC), short period between the reigns and Agathokles Hikétas before the arrival of Pyrrhus in Sicily. The exiles were recalled. It does not appear that gold coins, electrum and silver were produced during this "interregnum".
