Obverse description : Tête de Koré (Perséphone) à droite, les cheveux longs tombant sur le cou, couronnée avec des épis ; derrière la tête, un épi d’orge ; grènetis circulaire.

Reverse description : Bige galopant à droite, conduit par un aurige, tenant le kentron (bâton) de la main droite et les rênes de la main gauche ; étoile à six rais au-dessus du kentron.

Exemplaire frappé sous la quatrième République dans un laps de temps très court de moins de deux ans. Nous pourrions avoir affaire à deux séries pondérales différentes, une lourde et une légère.

We have little information on the Fourth Republic (289-287 BC), short period between the reigns and Agathokles Hikétas before the arrival of Pyrrhus in Sicily. The exiles were recalled. It does not appear that gold coins, electrum and silver were produced during this "interregnum".
