5th - 4th century BC.

The city whose exact location is not attested was founded in the 5th century BC in the western part of the island. The city was occupied in the following century by Campanian mercenaries. Then Nakone fell under the influence of the Mamertines in the 3rd century before disappearing definitively in the 1st century BC..
