The site of Nacona is unknown, but the city was under the domination of Campanian mercenaries when the Athenians invaded Sicily and attacked Syracuse in 412 BC. They were then mercenaries on behalf of Carthage before to swarm and settle in the island at Aetna, Entella and Nacona.
