Flan ovale et irrégulier avec une patine grise superficielle. Beau portrait. Malgré l’aspect du flan, le cheval est bien venu au revers

La légende de ce denier peut être lue DOCIO avec le pied des lettres centrifuge, mais aussi ODOCI avec le pied des lettres centripète. Le D peut se confondre avec les deux lettres C et I juxtaposées, en lecture inversée. B. Fischer signale plusieurs variétés de ce type au niveau des légendes, RIG. 228-1e. Sur cet exemplaire, le visage est timbré d'un rinceau ou d'une esse pointée. Le visage est largement stylisé et constitue une imitation du prototype.
