Exemplaire sur un petit flan ovale un peu court sur la légende de droit. Belle tête de Septime Sévère. Revers tout à fait inhabituel. Patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Reverse description : Bacchus nu debout de face, se couronnant lui même, tenant un thyrse de la main gauche ; à ses pieds, une panthère assise à gauche.

Commentary


Le seul exemplaire que nous ayons proposé en plus de vingt ans se trouvait dans ROME VIII, n° 91. Avec cette légende de revers, nous avons deux type différents associés. Celui-ci est de loin le plus rare.
