(47-46 BC) Quintus Cæcilius Metellus Pius Scipio

Caesar landed in Africa and the final fight took place at Thapsus February 6, 46 BC, Juba I, King of Mauretania and its ally, Scipio were defeated. In desperation to escape, Scipio committed suicide as Cato in Utica. Caesar created the province of Africa Nova and gave a new status to the territory of Carthage. He then returned to Rome, where he celebrated a fourfold triumph.
