Commentary


La médaille originale fut émise suite au départ du professeur Jean Lichtenberger (1899-1984) qui prit sa retraite en 1959.
Exemplaire d’épreuve de contrôle avec un intérêt élevé pour ce genre d’objet ! On peut le considérer comme une frappe intermédiaire du coin en vue d’en contrôler la gravure avant traitement thermique.
The original medal was issued following the departure of Professor Jean Lichtenberger (1899-1984) who retired in 1959. Proof copy with high interest for this type of object! It can be considered as an intermediate strike of the die in order to control the engraving before heat treatment
