Commentary


Il s’agit d’une haute distinction offerte par la “British Chemical Society” à William Crookes en septembre 1912.
William Crookes (1832-1919) est un chimiste et un physicien britannique. Il a donné son nom à la technique des tubes de Crookes, grâce auxquels ont été découverts par exemple les rayons X. Il est également connu pour des études concernant les médiums. Il a découvert le protactinium et le thallium.
This is a high distinction awarded by the British Chemical Society to William Crookes in September 1912. William Crookes (1832-1919) was a British chemist and physicist. He gave his name to the Crookes tube technique, which, for example, discovered X-rays. He is also known for his studies of mediums. He discovered protactinium and thallium.
