En 1868, Charles Brooke succède à son oncle James Brooke, rajah du Sarawak. Son fils, Vyner sera de 1917 à 1946, le troisième et dernier rajah blanc de Sarawak.
In 1868, Charles Brooke succeeded his uncle James Brooke as Rajah of Sarawak. His son, Vyner, was the third and last White Rajah of Sarawak from 1917 to 1946.
