Historical background

SANTONS / CENTRE WEST Uncertain

(First century BC)

Much of coinage Central West today still poses difficult problems of restitution. Powers to fine, sometimes very detailed previous two centuries (nineteenth and twentieth centuries), historians of Gaul, from the perspective of globalization, prefer to refer to major geographical groups. The most important now is not it that we are in possession of the archaeological object itself? However, if, in the future, the attitude of the discoverers of currencies, incidental findings or not, official or not, together with the goodwill of our archaeologists sometimes suspicious could afford, through collaboration (collaborare, working together in Latin) close and scope of their respective competences, to have a better understanding of the places of discovery, we could see all these powers gradually disappear "this uncertain uncertain that" to the delight of everyone and the knowledge of all.
