Reverse description : Gallien et Salonine se donnant la main. Gallien est debout à gauche tourné à droite et Salonine debout à droite tournée à gauche ; au milieu, au-dessus, une couronne.

Wife of Gallienus, mother of Valerian II and Saloninus - Augusta
Salonine, the wife of Gallien, seems to receive the title of augusta in 253, when her husband is associated with power by Valerian I. She loses at least two of her children, young Valérien and Salonin. She is murdered at the same time as her husband. Salonina is said to have had Christian sympathies.
