Exemplaire sur un flan large bien centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis complets. Beau buste de Salonine. Joli revers. Patine de collection ancienne. Conserve la plus grande partie de son brillant de frappe

Obverse description : Buste diadémé et drapé de Salonine à droite, vu de trois quarts en avant posé sur un croissant (L15).
Obverse translation : “Salonina Augusta”, (Salonine augusta).

Reverse legend : FECVNDITAS AVG/.
Reverse description : Fecunditas (la Fécondité) debout à gauche, tenant une corne d'abondance de la main gauche et tendant la main droite à un enfant qui est placé devant elle.

Reverse translation : “Fecunditas Augustæ”, (La Fécondité de l’augusta).

Wife of Gallienus, mother of Valerian II and Saloninus - Augusta
Salonine, the wife of Gallien, seems to receive the title of augusta in 253, when her husband is associated with power by Valerian I. She loses at least two of her children, young Valérien and Salonin. She is murdered at the same time as her husband. Salonina is said to have had Christian sympathies.
