Exemplaire sur un flan mince, ovale et irrégulier, échancré à 5 heures au droit. Très beau portrait juvénile. Revers de style fin. Faiblesse de frappe sur les légendes. Patine grise avec des reflets dorés, légèrement granuleuse

Caesar
Salonin was raised to the cesarat after the death of his brother, Valérien II. Sent to Gaul, under the protection of Postumus then simple general, he was proclaimed august after the capture of Valerian I in June or July 260. Postumus, proclaimed august in his turn, besieged Salonin and had him put to death.
