Ce denier est frappé sur un flan large et irrégulier. Monnaie présentant d’assez hauts reliefs en dépit de quelques faiblesses de frappe liés aux motifs de la face opposée apparaissant en négatif. Patine marron

Ce denier est particulièrement rare et est absent de bon nombre de collections classé R5 dans l’ouvrage de Dominique Legros 1526 (PA 2076, pl. XLV, n° 1). Le dessin présenté dans le Poey d’Avant est erroné car il présente une croix ancrée avec huit croissants. Dans les faits, il s’agit d’une croix à pied, avec sept croissants et deux petites traverses sur le pied.
