Institué en 2006, le titre de « Ville de la gloire militaire » est attribué aux villes russes dont les habitants ont fait preuve de courage et d’héroïsme particuliers pendant la Seconde guerre mondiale.
La ville de Naqltchik est la capitale de République de Kabardino-Balkarie dans le nord du Caucase. Elle a été occupée par les troupes allemandes du 28 octobre 1942 au 3 janvier 1943.
La ville a été décorée par Dmitri Medvedev le 25 mars 2010.
Established in 2006, the title of \\\"City of Military Glory\\\" is awarded to Russian cities whose inhabitants demonstrated particular courage and heroism during World War II. The city of Naqlchik is the capital of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic in the North Caucasus. It was occupied by German troops from October 28, 1942, to January 3, 1943. The city was decorated by Dmitry Medvedev on March 25, 2010.
