RUSSIA - PETER III

(1761-1762)

Pierre Fiodorovithc was born in Kiel in 1728 from the union of Charles-Frédéric, Duke of Holstein-Gottorp and the Grand Duchess Anna Petrovna Romanova, daughter of Peter I the Great. His reign was short-lived. Dethroned in 1762, he was assassinated at the instigation of his wife, Catherine II.
