RUSSIA - PETER II

(05/17/1727-01/29/1730)

Pierre II (23/10/1715-29/01/1730) is the son of Alexis Pétrovitch, executed on the orders of his father, Pierre le Grand (1682-1725). Pierre II succeeded Catherine I (1725-1727), the second wife of Pierre I. Peter II died at the age of 15 of smallpox, leaving the throne to Anne (1730-1740), the daughter of Ivan V. With him, the male line of the Romanovs died out.
