Commentary

Le Claim of Right de 1689 est un document constitutionnel écossais qui proclamait les droits fondamentaux des Écossais et limitait le pouvoir royal. Adopté après la Glorieuse Révolution, il invitait Guillaume d'Orange et Marie Stuart à régner sur l'Écosse. Ce texte est l'équivalent écossais du Bill of Rights anglais et a contribué à l'établissement de la monarchie constitutionnelle en Écosse.
