Exemplaire sur un flan ovale, légèrement décentré au droit. Beau portrait. Très joli revers de style fin. Patine foncée avec des reflets dorés

Artaban III is a usurper who revolted at the beginning of the reign of Pacorus II (77-105). The end of the reign of Vologèse I (51-78) had been very troubled. Vologèse II (77-80) and Pacorus had revolted against his authority. Pacorus first got rid of Vologèse II before attacking Artaban III. Artabanus III is known to the Romans for having supported a pseudo-Nero during the reign of Titus in the Euphrates region. Artaban III was finally eliminated by Pacorus II.
