Frederick IV of Denmark, born in Copenhagen on October 11, 1671 and died in Odense on October 12, 1730, son of Christian V and Charlotte-Amélie of Hesse-Cassel, was King of Denmark and Norway from August 25, 1699 to October 12, 1730 During his reign, he tries to stop the expansion of Sweden and regain control of the straits.
