Commentary
Le gros de Prague fut créé par Wenceslas II (1278-1305), roi de Bohême et de Pologne. Au moment de son émission il vaut 12 pfennigs et s'appelle un "Pragergroschen". Ils sont frappés en Bohême par des artistes italiens que Wenceslas a fait venir. Ces gros sont d'abord imités en Misnie, puis dans toute l'Allemagne. La frappe a dû commencer vers 1280.

At the time of its issue, it was worth 12 pfennigs and was called a \\\"Pragergroschen.\\\" They were minted in Bohemia by Italian artists brought over by Wenceslas.
