Commentary

Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) est un artiste et sculpteur roumain influent du XXe siècle.
Au revers de cette médaille sont représentés deux sculptures très connues de l’artiste : la colonne sans fin inaugurée à Târgu Jiu en Roumanie et l’oiseau merveilleux ou oiseau dans l’espace, sur lequel il existe de nombreuses variantes.
Constantin Brancusi (1876-1957) was an influential Romanian artist and sculptor of the 20th century. The reverse of this medal depicts two of the artist's well-known sculptures: the Endless Column, inaugurated in Târgu Jiu, Romania, and the Wonderful Bird or Bird in Space, of which there are many variations.
