Commentary

Cette once est bien frappée après la réforme onciale de la livre (as) qui ne pèse plus qu’un douzième de son poids d’origine. Manque à tous les ouvrages consultés sans marque. Au droit, le casque semble orné ce qui pourrait bien constituer la marque d’émission car au revers, aucun signe distinctif ne permet de rattacher cette once à une quelconque émission.
This ounce is indeed struck after the uncial reform of the pound (as) which now weighs only one twelfth of its original weight. Missing from all consulted works without mark. On the obverse, the helmet seems decorated which could well constitute the mark of issue because on the reverse, no distinctive sign allows this ounce to be linked to any issue
