Exemplaire sur un petit flan épais et ovale, parfaitement centré des deux côtés avec les grènetis visibles. Très beau portrait janiforme de style fin et élégant. Revers finement détaillé. Jolie patine de collection ancienne avec des reflets dorés

Commentary


Cet exemplaire présente la particularité d’avoir la légende de l’exergue en relief, placée dans un cadre linéaire, variété beaucoup plus rare avec le A ouvert. Les lettres sont bouletées aux extrémités.

The Roman armies were crushed at Trebia in 218 AC, at Lake Trasimene in 217 AC and at Cannes in 216 AC In 212 AC, Hannibal took Taranto and rallied the towns of southern Italy. 211 AC marks a Roman victory at Capua..
