Exemplaire sur un flan irrégulier bien centré des deux côtés à l’usure régulière. Beau portrait. Revers bien venu à la frappe. Jolie patine vert foncé, légèrement granuleuse

ROMANUS I LACAPENUS
(17/12/920-16/12/944)
Roman I, a peasant of Armenian origin, was named Augustus in 920. His daughter Helena married Constantine VII. He reigned for 25 years, but was deposed by Stephen and Constantine, his children, in 944. Two months later, Constantine VII got rid of his two brothers-in-law and ruled alone for the first time since 908.
