Commentary
Very light weight. For this Victoriat, Mr. Crawford noted an estimate of thirty obverse dies and thirty-seven reverse dies. This Victoriat seems rarer than general works suggest. This type does not seem to have been copied in Gallic coinage where, however, weapons and trophies hold an important place. Nevertheless, the bronze coinage of Antipolis (Antibes) presents an undeniable homotypy of contiguity with the reverse of the Victoriat (LT. 2179 and following)
