Commentary


Poids lourd.
Ce semuncia frappé est fabriqué sur ce que les spécialistes appellent l’étalon “post semi libral” avec un as à environ 108 g et donc un semuncia à 4,51 g. L’as va ensuite être frappé selon l’étalon sextantal, oncial et enfin semi-oncial avant de disparaître complètement au Ier siècle avant J.-C. Le monnayage de bronze est complètement réorganisé par Auguste, articulé autour du sesterce.
