Commentary

Poids léger. Pour ce type, M. Crawford a relevé une estimation de 60 coins de droit et de 75 coins de revers. Ce denier avec un poids moyen de 4,03 g pour vingt-cinq exemplaires, ce type est bien frappé au 1/72 L. (poids théorique : 4,51 g). Ce denier est en fait beaucoup plus rare que ne le laissent apparaître les différents ouvrages généraux.
Light weight. For this type, Mr. Crawford noted an estimate of 60 obverse dies and 75 reverse dies. This denarius, with an average weight of 4.03 g for twenty-five examples, is indeed struck at 1/72 L. (theoretical weight: 4.51 g). This denarius is in fact much rarer than the various general works suggest.
