Commentary

Ce potin est très caractéristique par rapport à la multitude d'exemplaires connus pour ce type ; l'œil, tant du personnage du droit que de l'animal du revers est vide sur ce potin alors qu'il est habituellement plein. Cette particularité se retrouvant des deux côtés, l'accident ne semble pas devoir être retenu, au profit d'une intention de distinguer cette production particulière.
This potin is very characteristic compared to the multitude of examples known for this type; the eye, both of the character on the obverse and of the animal on the reverse, is empty on this potin whereas it is usually full. This particularity being found on both sides, the accident does not seem to have to be retained, in favor of an intention to distinguish this particular production
