Le droit semble lisse, ou plutôt frappé avec un coin usé. Le revers est de bonne qualité, avec trace de coulée du flan bien visible à 1 heure

Commentary
Le droit a les mêmes caractéristiques que l'exemplaire précédent ; complètement usé ou frappé avec un coin usé. Mais c'est le revers qui fait son intérêt ; le bige est à droite au lieu d'être tourné à gauche. Semble complètement inédit et manque à tous les Musées consultés. De même coin de revers que l’exemplaire suivant, MONNAIES XV, n° 1293.

But it is the reverse that makes it interesting; the bige is on the right instead of facing left. Seems completely new and missing from all the Museums consulted. GALLIA BELGICA - REMI (Area of Reims)
(2nd - 1st century BC)
The Remi were one of the most powerful peoples of Gaul and loyal allies of the Romans. The territory of the Rèmes extended over present-day Champagne, along the Aisne. They had for neighbors the Atuatuci, the Treveri, the Mediomatrics, the Lingones, the Suessions, the Bellovaci and the Nervians. They denounced to Caesar the coalition of Belgian peoples of 57 BC which included the Suessions who shared the same laws and the same magistrates. Their main oppidum was Bibrax. The capital of the civitas in Gallo-Roman times was Durocortorum (Reims). Caesar (BG. II, 3-5, 7, 12; III, 11; V, 3, 24, 53, 54, 56; VI, 4, 12, 44; VII, 63, 90; VIII, 6, 11) . Strabo (G. IV, 3, 5).
