Obverse description : Sorte d'Y retourné, globulé aux extrémités avec deux formes renflées de chaque côté pour les restes d’une tête janiforme ou casquée.

Reverse legend : ANÉPIGRAPHE.
Reverse description : Un axe vertical renflé au centre, avec un globule à chaque extrémité ; un arc de cercle pointé de part et d'autre.

Commentary


Une des premières apparitions de ce potin semble être le n° 383 de la collection A. Trampitsch, 13-15 novembre 1986. Ce potin y était attribué aux Suessions ou aux Bellovaques. Lors de la parution du Nouvel Atlas, les auteurs l'ont pourtant considéré comme une monnaie "originale" ou inédite, en précisant que "plusieurs provenances ont été signalées au nord de la vallée de la Seine, entre les confluents de l'Aube et de la Marne". Il constitue la variété 2 du “potin à l’Y”. H. Patat le classe quant à lui aux Parisii.

These "peripheral" coins are often found locally or located in geographical areas of the current Paris region.
